mardi 25 juillet 2017

You surely have heard and read a lot about the numerous benefits of the use of apple cider vinegar.  This miraculous ingredient offers a myriad of health benefit, like weight control, pH balance, increased good bacteria in the gut, blood sugar balance, and much more.

This article will present some of its most important medicinal properties.
Apple cider vinegar is useful in the cases of ulcers, acid reflux, colitis, and other stomach issues when combined with fermented vegetables.
The mild acid in the fermentation process is actually lactic acid, which improves the gut flora. It also helps digestion and has been found to treat ulcerative colitis.
One animal study which involved mice showed that when they received water with acetic acid, their levels of good gut bacteria like Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus increased, and the symptoms of gastrointestinal disease lowered.
To ensure an optimal gut health, mix a teaspoon of organic honey and 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of warm water. You can also mix it with honey and ginger to soothe a sore throat.
This is the recipe of a nurse from the University of Pittsburgh Bonnie K. McMillen:
  • 1 tablespoon of raw honey
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
Drink this remedy in small sips every a few hours. Swallow slowly to expose the throat to the remedy longer.
This is another excellent recipe with vinegar:
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • half a teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Asparagus, broccoli, or salad greens
  • A few fresh chopped basil leaves
  • a dash of ground black pepper
According to NBC News, half of the American population suffers from either full-blown diabetes or high blood sugar. What’s more, half of these people are not even aware of the serious consequences of the condition.
CNN Health adds that there are numerous other studies which confirm that apple cider vinegar is helpful in the case of high blood sugar and various other health problems.
Another study conducted at the AZ University included 11 diabetes patients who took prescription medicines only, not insulin.
They continued with their practice, but they received two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and an ounce of cheese at bedtime. In the morning, their blood sugar levels were lower in comparison to mornings when they received 2 tablespoons of water.
Furthermore, a study analyzed the ACV effect in adults with type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, and healthy people.
These people were divided into three groups, and they all received an ounce of apple cider vinegar after a high-carb meal consisted of a glass of orange juice and a white bagel with butter.
Researchers found that the blood sugar levels were reduced in all three groups, compared to the placebo group. Pre-diabetics had reduced their blood glucose by nearly half, and type 2 diabetics by 25%.
Also, studies which tested the effects of vinegar for weight control give results. The Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry published a study which involved mice which received acetic acid, the active ingredient in ACV, combined with a high-fat diet.
Researchers found that all mice reduced their body weight by 10%, in comparison with the control group. Acetic acid activates trigger genes which initiates the ability of enzymes to break down fat, thus leading to a feeling of satiety, and preventing weight gain.
Another Japanese study analyzed obese adults with similar body mass index, waist measurement, and body weight, who were divided into three groups.
The first ones received half an ounce of apple cider vinegar; the second group a drink with an ounce of apple cider vinegar, and the third ones received a drink with no apple cider vinegar, for three months.
The findings were as follows: The ones that drank apple cider vinegar had lower belly fat and body weight, lower triglycerides, and smaller waist measurements compared to the two other groups.
The conclusion is that the consumption of vinegar daily reduces obesity and thus prevents metabolic syndrome.
According to The Truth About Cancer, apple cider vinegar has potent antimicrobial properties and can replace the toxic chemical disinfectants.
Its active ingredient, acetic acid, destroys one of the most fatal bacteria known as Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which is resistant to disinfectants.
These qualities of apple cider vinegar are especially important for immunosuppressed patients, as they destroy bacteria and strengthen the immune system.
Furthermore, few test tube studies showed that vinegar can kill cancer cells. Researchers used several fermented kinds of vinegar to induce programmed cell death in leukemia cells, or apoptosis.
Another study found that rice vinegar can inhibit malignant colon and breast tumors, as well as lung, bladder, and prostate cancers. Apple cider vinegar was found to be able to inhibit colon cancer cells by 62%.
Apple cider vinegar has numerous other uses as well. For instance, it is often consumed to stop hiccups. This is successful as it overstimulates the nerve endings, thus removing the hiccups out of the system.
To soothe an inflammation and speed up the recovery, you can soak a cloth in it and apply it on the affected area.
The high acidity of vinegar makes it a great beauty product as well. It regulated pH levels and is thus beneficial in the case of dry skin and dandruff. Hence, you can use it in the following cases:
  • Wounds
  • Poison ivy
  • Athlete’s foot
  • Dandruff
  • Sunburn
  • Burns
  • Toning your skin
  • Warts removal
  • Bug bites
  • Detox baths
  • Acne
  • Toenail fungus
Due to its acidity and antibacterial properties, apple cider vinegar can be used as a mouthwash, and to clean your dentures and toothbrush. Mix 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 1 ½ cup of water, and 2 teaspoons of baking soda, and soak the toothbrush in this solution to clean it.
Replace commercial toxic weed killers with it to get the same effects in a safe way.
In the kitchen, add it to boost the brightness and flavor of different savory soups, such as veggie or chili soup.
Yet, remember that you should always dilute apple cider vinegar with some water in order not to harm your teeth, as a result of its acidity.
