How to Make a Turmeric Smoothie

Have you jumped on the turmeric bandwagon yet? Everybody is all about this classic spice, sharing and rediscovering its reputation for being anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, antibacterial, antiviral, containing antioxidants and even helping depression. Basically, it’s against everything bad and totally on the side of health! Plus, it’s pretty tasty, too. Despite its increased popularity, a lot of people aren’t really sure how to partake of it. Our favorite way is also the easiest: a smoothie! Cure Joy shows us how to make one that’ll be your new favorite.

Blend Together

– 1 cup hemp or coconut milk
– ½ cup frozen pineapple or mango chunks
– 1 fresh banana
– 1 tablespoon coconut oil
– ½ to 1 teaspoon turmeric
– ½ teaspoon cinnamon
– ½ teaspoon ginger
– 1 teaspoon chia seeds
– 1 teaspoon maca (optional)
