Americans are constantly suggested to consume soy and drink soy milk by mainstream nutritional guidelines, despite the mounting evidence that it is absolutely not beneficial for their health. Undoubtedly, soy is not a healthy choice, and the consumption of soy milk can actually seriously deteriorate your health.

First of all, please look at these ingredients which enter the content of soymilk:
Soymilk (Filtered Water, Whole Soybeans), Cane Sugar, Sea Salt, Carrageenan, Natural Flavor, Calcium Carbonate, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D2, Riboflavin (B2), Vitamin B12.
Therefore, we will now give you 10 good reasons to avoid this milk:
  1. Soybeans and soy products contain high levels of phytic acid, which inhibits the assimilation of calcium, magnesium, copper, iron, and zinc.
  2. Soy foods also have high levels of toxic aluminum, which has been linked to the onset of Alzheimer’s and negatively affects the nervous system, the kidneys.
  3. Soy contains toxic isoflavones, genistein and daidzein, which can stimulate the growth of breast cancer. (Annals of Pharmacotherapy 2001 Sep;35(9):118-21).
  4. Soy is one f the most contaminated foods by pesticides of any of our foods, as 99% of it is genetically modified.
  5. While being processed in order to make soy protein isolate and textured vegetable protein, the fragile soy proteins are exposed to high temperatures , which makes them extremely dangerous for human digestion.
  6. Soy also contains plant estrogens, otherwise called phytoestrogens, which damage the endocrine function and can cause infertility and breast cancer in women.
  7. Soybeans contain large quantities of natural toxins or “antinutrients”. To be more specific, only two glasses of soy milk daily can significantly alter a woman’s menstrual cycle.
  8. Soy foods can contribute to B12 deficiency, as soy contains a compound resembling vitamin B12 that cannot be processed by your body.
  9. It has been shown that soy increases the body’s need for vitamin B12 and vitamin D.
  10. Soybeans also contain haemagglutinin, a clot-promoting substance that causes your red blood cells to clump.
When it comes to Carrageenan in soy milk, numerous studies and scientific research have shown that food-grade carrageenan can be the reason for the occurrence of gastrointestinal inflammation, ulcerations, lesions and even colon cancer in laboratory animals.
Furthermore, newest research, funded by the American Diabetes Association, has found a relation between the consumption of food-grade carrageenan and insulin resistance and glucose intolerance in mice.
