PROPER SKIN CARE ROUTINE

dimanche 20 septembre 2015
Our skin needs constant care and hydration. Twice per day: in the morning and before going to bed. But be careful not to rattle it. I know persons who have skin problems and use to clean it with a cleaning gel 3 or 4 times per day. This can only worsen the situation.
A proper skin care routine has 3 major steps: cleaning, toning and moisturizing. Below you can find more about each step and other hygiene rules one most follow in order to have perfect skin.

Cleaning
This means using a makeup remover (if you wear makeup) and a cleaning gel. First you need to apply the makeup remover and then the cleaning gel/foam. This way you will eliminate also the makeup remover and the last particles of dust or other dirt.
Toning
Of course I am talking about using a toner. Preferable one that has no alcohol in it. The toner has multiple properties like getting rid of the dry skin sensation caused by the water, light hydration or if there is any makeup left it will remove the last particles.
Moisturizing
You can think of it like an external help we offer our skin in order to look and feel better. It is important that you use a cream with SPF each time you expose your skin to sunlight, regardless of season or weather.
A special care is needed for the skin around the eyes because it is thinner. A different cream is needed for this area.
The most important thing is to choose your skin products taking into account your skin type and problems, if you have any.
There are also some personal hygiene rules you should keep in mind:
  • Your pillow and your face towel are just yours. Do not share them with other persons and change them as often as possible.
  • Don’t touch your face if your hands are not clean.
  • Don’t borrow cosmetic products which were in direct contact with other persons: lip balm, mascara, cream from jars or eyeliner.
  • Don’t forget to clean your makeup tools (brushes) on a regular basis. Weekly if possible.
