Effective Home Remedies For Skin Pores

Skin pores are like small pits on the face, which appear like an orange peel—not an attractive image, is it? These pores cause the face to look dull and aged. Especially People with oily skin are prone to this problem, thanks to excessive sebum production. They can also lead to complications like blackheads and acne, which mar the way you look. Factors like stress, genetics and unhealthy skin care also give rise to open pores. The skin loses elasticity as we age, making the condition worse. There are many ways to minimize the occurrence of skin pores. The market is full of products, which claim to offer relief—but why spend so much when the solution can be found in your kitchen shelves?

1. Egg White:

Egg white is used to make the enlarged pores shrink because it tightens and tones the skin. The masks of egg white help to take out the excess oil from greasy skin. Take one egg white, mix it with 2 tbsp of oatmeal and 2 tbsp of lemon juice. Make an even paste, apply on the face and keep it for 30 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water. Apply the paste twice a week for beautiful skin. Egg masks are excellent remedies for clogged pores and can also be used to treat virulent forms of acne.

2. Cucumber Juice:

Mix cucumber juice with corn meal to make a thick paste. Apply the paste evenly on the face and leave it for 15 minutes, then rinse it off. The mask not only helps in treating skin pores, but also improves the skin texture.

3. Tomato Lotion:

Apply tomato juice on the face and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse it with warm water. Tomatoes contain high level of acid and potassium, which help to reduce blemishes on face.

4. Yogurt Remedy:

Apply plain yogurt to the pores and leave it for about 20 minutes and then rinse it with warm water. Repeat this remedy twice a week to reduce the size of the skin pores.

5. Baking Soda:

Baking soda has some antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help in reducing complications like pimples and acne. Make a paste by mixing equal parts of this soda and warm water (2 tbsp each). Apply the paste into the pores and massage gently for about 30 seconds using circular motion. Rinse it thoroughly using cool water. It helps remove dead skin cells, grime, and other impurities. Baking soda regulates the skin acid content and maintains its pH balance.
