Natural Ways to Get Rid of Dark Underarms

Hyper pigmentation is a main problem caused by a lot of shaving, some beauty products or the skin nature. It's kind of a big deal especially in the summer while wearing swimsuit or tank tops. In the article we will show you some natural remedies to get whiter and softer underarms. 

DIY Underarm Lightening
This is a simple technique to remove dead skin cells and lighten the skin.
Works great for underarm areas and knees.
Items Needed:
Sliced Cucumber
2 tbsp. Olive Oil
1 tbsp. Baking Soda
3 tsp. Lemon Juice
You don’t need to use a whole cucumber, as a few slices will be enough. In a medium bowl, add ingredients and mash & mix together until pasty. Apply to areas you want to lighten, underarms, legs and knees. After about 10 minutes rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry using a soft cloth.
Other remedies:
  • Prepare a homemade skin whitening recipe by adding one teaspoon each of lemon juice, yogurt, and a pinch of turmeric in gram flour to make a face pack. Apply it on your face for about half an hour before rinsing it off. Follow this remedy at least three times in a day for a few weeks.

1. Citrus juices – we all know the whitening effects they have especially lemon juice. Take a slice of lemon and rub it to your underarms then leave the juice there for 15 minutes. Wash it and if you get irritated apply some moisturizer to your underarms. Other juices you can use are: orange juice and pineapple juice.
2. Baking soda – make a thick paste from it with a little water, scrub it to the area, leave it for a while then rinse. It can also be combined with lemon juice or white vinegar.
3. Sandalwood powder – an amazing beauty ingredient for young glowing skin and it also has antimicrobial properties. Mix it with milk or rose water and apply it to the area you have to lighten.
4. Vitamin E – gently massage the oil to the area until the skin absorbs it.
5. Apple cider vinegar – mixed with rice flour until it gets pasty and applied to the area works wonders. Leave it on for 15 minutes then rinse with warm water.
6. Papaya pulp – great for skin discoloration. Make a paste from papaya pulp, some honey and some lemon juice, apply it on the skin and rinse it off after 10 minutes.
7. Gram flour – is used in India as a natural skin whitener, mix it with one tablespoon of lemon juice, yogurt and some turmeric. Apply it under your arms, do this everyday until you see results.
8. Coconut oil – miracle ingredient in hyperpigmentation, massaged on skin it lightens it and nourishes it. Besides this is a great antimicrobial oil and mixed with some lemon juice is more effective.
9. Milk – combined with plain yogurt and gram flour is amazing in fighting dark spots because of the lactic acid that eliminates discolorations.
